Ailing President Robert Mugabe flew out of Harare to Mexico Friday evening to attend a disaster summit.
According to the Herald, every two years, the United Nations World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction brings together global leaders, NGOs and scientists to map strategies to ensure better responses to the threat of disasters.
Mugabe (93) is certain to grab international headlines during the summit.
Mugabe is always caught out dozing off during summit sessions and now struggles to freely walk due to advanced age.
His spokesman George Charamba recently said Mugabe does not sleep during meetings but his action is a mere optical affliction adding that he would be simply resting his eyes.
