Man lures, robs prostitute

A man from Vundu Flats in Bulawayo is in trouble after he lured a prostitute purporting to be interested in getting sexual services from her before he could attack and rob her of property and cash all worth $180.
This was heard by Bulawayo magistrate Tinashe Tashaya on May 18 when Adford Mariwo (34) appeared before him.
He was remanded to June 2 for trial.
The court was told that Mariwo on November 13 last year at 9 pm approached Sinanzeni Ncube pretending to be seeking sex services from her.
As Ncube negotiated with him, he allegedly attacked her with a brick on the head and she fell down before he could search and steal her cellphone and $40.
He then ran away. The total cost of property and cash stolen is $180, and nothing was recovered.
A report made to the police later led to his arrest.
