ZDF secures 337 housing stands in Bulawayo

The Zimbabwe Defence Forces has secured 337 housing stands in Bulawayo for its members under the Zimbabwe Defence Forces Benefit Fund.
This is revealed in the Bulawayo City Council latest minutes.
Minutes states that the Acting Director of Housing and Community Services reported that the Zimbabwe Defence Forces benefit fund was a military organization whose objective was to secure residential accommodation for its members in Urban, Rural and Growth points Country wide.
"To date, 337 stands had been allocated in Cowdray Park. In 12 November 2014 the fund handed over to its beneficiaries 302 two roomed houses. His Worship the Mayor Martin Moyo undertook to give them more stands. As a follow up, the fund had applied for additional stands on December 17, 2014, March,11 2015 and October, 5 2016 as follows: Low density - 50, Medium density - 50 and High density - 250," reads the minutes.
"To date the Department had managed to avail 35 stands in the high density areas and the fund was paying well in terms of the current policy."
