Man thoroughly bashed and stabbed 7 times for being gay

A man from Bulawayo's Pumula South Suburb is fighting for survival at a hospital in the same city after he was attacked and stabbed seven times for allegedly being gay. The incident occurred early this month. It is reported that prior to the incident, the alleged gay Trevor Jeremani met his attacker Ntando Sibanda at a shopping centre in the suburb who accused him of having sex with men.

Sibanda went on to ridicule Jeremani for dressing in tight fitting clothes and threatened to make his gay tendencies. Jeremani was unfazed by this and told the man to mind his own business. The sentiments angered Sibanda who warned the alleged gay of dreadful consequences.

On the fateful day at about 11pm, the two ere reported to have met and Sibanda told the alleged gay to prepare himself for the journey to hell. Jeremani took the threats lightly and continued walking. This incensed Sibanda who hurled insults at the man. Thereafter the two traded some nasty words.

Sibanda would not let Jeremani be and landed a number of blows on his face. Jeremani's failure to offer resistance fuelled Sibanda's gusto to further exhibit his KUNG-FU talent. By then Sibanda was convinced that his nemisis was indeed gay judging by the way he called out for help. Jeremani's distressed call however, fell on deaf ears.

Realising this, Sibanda drew out a butcher man's knife and allegedly stabbed the man once on the collar bone. He went on to knife him five more times.Jeremani tried to run but Sibanda caught up with him a few metres away and stabbed him one more time on the left knee in an attempt to half his movements.

Feeling satisfied with the corrective measures, Sibanda took off leaving the man for dead. A passerby spotted Jeremani writing in pain, in a pool of blood and rushed him to hospital. The matter was reported to police leading to Sibanda's arrest. Sibanda was arraigned before the courts facing an attempted murder charge.
