Word of Life International Ministries founder and co-senior Pastor Maureen Shana is surely dreaming big, as she now wants to splash BIG money buying her own private jet! The WORD we got is that Shana recently told her congregants in Bulawayo that she wants her own private jet, meaning that she is ready to part ways with hundreds of thousands of United States Dollars
According to Aircraft Dealer Network website, the cheapest jet Learjet 28 (1979 model) costs US$749,000 in USA. Shana could not readily confirm her ambitions of becoming one of the country's few elite jet owners, as she was said to be out of town. Her personal assistant Vicky could neither deny nor confirm her boss' interest in owning the luxurious aircraft.
"Who told you that she wanted to do that, in any case she needs to answer that herself. If you really want to speak to her I think it will be better if you wait for her until she comes back," said Vicky.
However, for whatever reason, the personal assistant requested this reporter not to write anything about the cleric and owner of United Connect Centre. According to Word of Life International congregants whom we spoke to, Shana told them on Sunday that she was keen on having a jet to "make her life easy". The source said her pastor indicated that she was keen on instigation a fundraising effort for her ambition. Another congregate who holds a senior post in the popular Pentecostal church said there were ongoing plans to set up fundraising for the jet.
Its not cheap to won a private jet. On average, it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to maintain a personal plane. Pastor Maureen is married to Dr Goodwill Shana and together they are the co-founders of Word of Life International Ministries.
