Top Byo cop supplying dangerous drugs to drug addicts

A senior Bulawayo police officer is accused of supplying dangerous drugs to 5 drug addicts, possession of pornographic material and failure to properly secure his service firearm.
It is alleged that between November and July this year, Assistant Commissioner Dereck Matsika supplied 5 drug addicts with Pethidine, a dangerous drug only consumed under supervision.
The top cop was allegedly found in possession of pornographic material during his arrest.
Matsika has not yet been formally asked to plead to 5 counts of contravening the Dangerous Drugs Act, Entertainment and Censorship Act and Firearms Act. He was remanded to next Tuesday on $100 bail.
