Mnangagwa courts Obert Mpofu to his camp

DEFENSE Minister Emerson Mnangagwa who leads a faction that wants to take over from Robert Mugabe has courted Mines and Mining Development minister Obert Mpofu.
Munangagwa, who already has Youth, Indigenisation and Empowerment minister Saviour Kasukuwere in his camp made a surprise appearance at the Umguza bash meant to celebrate Mpofu's 60th birthday and his (minister Mpofu) attainment of a doctorate in policy studies.
Mnangagwa is a favourite to replace Mugabe ahead of Vice President Joice Mujuru, who many view as unstable.
Recently the Mnangagwa camp won the Mashonaland west elections and they have reportedly made inroads in Mashonaland East and Central, areas hitherto referred as bastions of VP Mujuru's power.
