Cemeteries neglected

A Bulawayo Councillor Mlandu Ncube has expressed concern at the extent of neglect at cemeteries particularly in certain sections of Hyde Park cemetery.

According to latest Bulawayo City Council minutes the areas concerned were generally unkempt and this had the undesirable effect of lowering property values in the surrounding areas.

"There was therefore need for Council to step in, mobilize funds and ensure proper maintenance at the cemeteries, and fencing off as appropriate," reads the minutes.
