I don't have gate-keepers: Prof Welshman Ncube

PROFESSOR Welshman Ncube has said he is accessible leader with no gatekeepers preventing journalists and or anyone who wants to chat with him to do so.
Prof Ncube said these remarks in a wide ranging interview with a Bulawayo based weekly paper. He also revealed that he can take anyone's call and does not have a personal spokesperson unlike his rivals, Morgan Tsvangirai and Robert Mugabe.
Tsvangirai has the erratic Luke Tamborinyika for a spokesperson whereas Mugabe has the acerbic wordsmith- George Charamba for the role.
Said Prof Ncube: "I am directly accessible to the media every hour of the day. I take calls directly from journalist every day of the week. I don't even have a personal spokesperson.
"When you sought this interview you came directly to me and not through any "gatekeepers", who as a matter of fact do not exist in the party. Equally, subject to party protocol I and other senior leaders in the party, are available and accessible at all times to the ordinary membership of the party,' he said.
Prof Ncube added that his MDC believes in an open door policy and all the members of our party including myself are always accessible to both the media and membership of the party.
