An Ex-Zipra war veteran Max Mkandla has called on all war veterans to align themselves with the democratic forces to end the Zanu PF hegemony, which has caused a lot of suffering for the citizens.
'The war veterans must now align themselves with the democratic forces to end the ruling party hegemony and stop endorsing the recycling o failed leaders in the government as this will fail the struggle," Mkandla said.
Mkandla said the war veterans will be holding a meeting at Gwanzura stadium on November 3 and called for all the war veterans and members of political parties to attend.
He expressed fears that the police which are aligned to Zanu PF may block the meeting but asked them not to act against the war veterans but to attend the meeting to protect them as citizens.
He said citizens must be allowed to plan their democratic processes and must not be seen as enemies when they make those plans.
