A family from Cowdray Park is looking for its 42-year-old relative who reportedly disappeared after receiving a mysterious phone call.

The missing woman, Sihle Moyo, who is also from Cowdray Park was last seen on 2 February and she left home heading for the city centre to meet the unknown person.

Narrating their ordeal to Chronicle yesterday, the family spokesperson, Mr Mike Sigabade, said the family was worried something horrific could have happened to their sister.

"My sister received a phone call on 2 February at around 10am and was heard saying sengiseduze ngiyabuya (I am on my way). She later told our mother that she was rushing to meet someone who wanted to give her some goods," he said.

"We never suspected anything bad would happen that day but when she did not come back home, we started worrying."

The woman's sister, Miss Hilda Moyo, said the family had checked with every relative and they fear her sister was kidnapped or possibly killed.

"We have tried calling her but her cellphone is no longer working and this is worrying.

"Police have been informed and they promised to help us get a call history for her cellphone so that we can try and trace the last person who called," said Miss Moyo.

She said her sister was last seen wearing a green skirt, a white shirt and Tommy tennis shoes.

"We are appealing to members of the public to help us locate our sister. They can contact us on 0712 517 808 or 0734 138 399."
