MDC-T councillor beaten by Zanu PF youth

An MDC-T Councillor for ward 10 Mpopoma, Charles Moyo has revealed that assaulted by Zanu PF youths who were extorting money from vendors in the city forcing them to attend a party meeting last week.
Moyo said he was assaulted while doing his work by the young guy Magura Charumbira and police did not act which he described as sad news indeed.
"Zimbabwe is a peaceful country and there is no room for fake War Lords . Allocating vending bays to people is Council s roll through its workers. The council must act very swiftly to avoid this embarrassing unfortunate situation going out of hand," said former depute Mayor Alderman Amen Mpofu who said Moyo told him of the assault.
"This is our City. We don't have another one, hence our plea for order and total peace .
Youth must not allow themselves to be misled .their future is more important and must not appreciate a person holding ice block because in the end he will realise that he was holding nothing and will be to late."
