Man cuts off woman's panties using okapi, rapes then kills her

A Filabusi man who could not stomach his sexual advances rejected by a fellow villager, cut off her panties using an Okapi knife, rapes and killed her is set to be hanged.
Zibusiso Ndlovu of Mbondweni village was convicted of murder by High Court judge Martin Makonese in Bulawayo.
The court heard that Ndlovu aged 37 called the now deceased Catherine Mpala aged 31 to his homestead.
Ndlovu had thought of paying off his debt using maize.
When she got to the homestead, Ndlovu ordered his friends to leave and they remained alone.
While inside the house, Ndlovu proposed to Mpala but turned down.
That did not go down well with Ndlovu who then grabbed Mpala and pinned her down.
The court heard that Ndlovu drew out an okapi knife and cut off her pants and raped her.
However, Mpala managed to grab Ndlovu's testicles and squeezed them but Ndlovu continued to rape her.
The court heard that Ndlovu stabbed Mpala thrice on the head and only freed her after blood was oozing out. She had died.
Ndlovu hid the body under the bed only to be discovered a day later.
