Kombi drivers targeted for HIV testing

KOMBI drivers in Bulawayo have been targeted for HIV testing by the New Start Centre as a testing site has been set up at the famous taxi rank-Egodini.
There are more than a thousands commuter omnibuses which use the rank.
Officials from The New Start Centre say they established the site which began operations on Thursday that kombi drivers are "normally busy" hence it was best to go to their workstations.
Chrispen Ngubane of the New Start Centre said they had an overwhelming response and turned away 70n people as they could not cope.
"We had a shortage of tents and counsellors therefore we had to turn away close to 70 people," said Ngubane adding that 150 people were tested.
Vendors and commuters are also targeted.
Kombi drivers are often accused of having sexual relations with female students.
