Senior cop assaulted in front of wife

A Bulawayo senior cop was recently assaulted by a group of five men who took turns to humiliate him in front of his wife.
Inspector Charles Mupatsi, based at Nkulumane Police Station was walking with his wife along Siyephambili Drive last week when the five suddenly pulled over and started insulting the officer.
The five reportedly took turns to assault the law enforcement agent with an iron rod.
However, luck ran out of Blessed Masuku who was apprehended by Mupatsi with the assistance of his juniors as the other four fled from the scene.
The four are still at large but Masuku this week appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Richard Ramaboea and was granted $100 bail. He will appear again in court on 24 April.
