On Saturday morning Zapu will provide transport for mourners to the burial of the late veteran politician Thenjiwe Lesabe, Zapu spokesperson Methuseli Moyo said on Thursday after the funeral service, held at the Large City Hall.
"All those interested in attending the burial are advised to report at the City Hall car park by 6:30am on Saturday (tomorrow). There will be transport to ferry them to Fort Rixon and back to the city after the burial," he said.
Lesabe, who died at 79, was denied heroine status by the Zanu PF politburo on the grounds that she had defected to the Dabengwa-led Zapu. Instead, she will receive a state-assisted burial.
Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai is expected to attend the funeral service while officials from South Africa's ruling party, the ANC, are also expected to come for the burial.
