Bulawayo City Council workers have downed tools and are picketing outside Tower Block.

Zimbabwe Urban Councils Workers Union secretary general Moses Mhlanga this morning said their industrial action would be indefinite if management does not bow down to their grievances.

"The sit is now on and would only stop once our grievances are addressed," said Mhlanga.

Mhlanga said workers resolved last Friday to go for a sit in.

Workers at Tower Block said they have run short of patience with management over pat dispute.

"We are not going to work…management wasted million on luxury cars yet they are failing to pay our salaries," fumed one worker who identified herself as Monica.

Monica suggested grabbing all management cars and auction them to raised salaries.

Last week it was revealed that Kingdom Bank plans to attach Tower Block, Revenue Hall and three blocks of flats over a more than $5 million debt.

The industrial action comes a day before the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair kicks off in Bulawayo.

Council workers from the road section were busy resurfacing roads and repainting tarmacs.
