MRP assists Hadon & Sly employees

Mthwakazi Republic Party leadership and members braved the scorching heat to give support to the employees of Hadon & Sly who are on the brink of losing their jobs.
The retail outlet is alleged to have been systematically siphoning all its profits to Harare leaving the business without capacity for sustainability. The employees allege that the business had very bad corporate governance issues that led to it's purported demise.
What shocked the employees is that they were assured by management the previous day that Haddon & Sly was not closing shop, only to be shocked today when told to move all stock to the warehouse.
There is suspicion that management of Haddon & Sly wants to dump the employees without paying them their dues, and disappear back to Harare.
We are very saddened with this devilish and exploitative behaviour of such companies like Haddon & Sly who do not value the people of Bulawayo. We call upon all the people of Bulawayo, political parties, workers unions, residents associations and civic organizations to condemn this behaviour in its strongest terms.
