MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai is in Bulawayo today to tour Constituency Development Fund projects in the city.

Tsvangirai who will also attend a business conference at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair on Tuesday is on a fact finding mission over the projects that once threatened to split the Bulawayo structures.

There were allegations and counter allegations of diversion of CDF funds in what was interpreted as deepening internal fights between a faction led by provincial chiarman Gorden Moyo and another led by provincial member Matson Hlalo.

"The president is in Bulawayo to tour CDF projects. He wants to get a first hand appreciation on how CDF funds were used in the constituencies," said party deputy national spokesperson Thabitha Khumalo.

A number of parliamentarians including Pumula legislator Albert Mhlanga were recently arrested for allegedly  abusing CDF funds.
