MDC-T president Morgan Tsvangirai has castigated MPs who abused Constituency Development Funds labeling them selfish.
Speaking during a tour of a school toilet block built by Nkulumane MP Thamsanqa Mahlangu, Tsvangirai said legislators who fully accounted for their CDF should be given more money in the next round.
"There are selfish MPs who diverted funds to their own use. Some have even paid lobola for two wives each," said Tsvangirai.
"If one can divert as little as $50 000 then what if they are given millions?
"I want to propose that in the next round those who full accounted for their CDF to be given more money."
Tsvangirai lauded Mahlangu for giving priority to the education sector and pledged to assist in the completion of the school.
"I will talk to Minister David Coltart and ask him to see to it that this school is completed fast," he said.
