Man bedded mother before she wedded his father

A 30-year-old Bulawayo man was jailed after claiming that he had sex with his step mother three times before she wedded his father. As if that was not enough, the man went on to launch a scathing attack on her saying she was a dog, killer and serial sleep around sexual athlete who was tricking his father by siring children with other men.

This larger than life story was heard when Innocent Mathuthu of Mabusela Flats in Makokoba, Bulawayo, was dragged before Bulawayo magistrate Mr Shepherd Mjanja. He was being charged with criminal assault. The foul mouthed Mathuthu who said he was under the influence of alcohol when he insulted his step mother Janet Sibanda, did not not waste the court's precious time when he pleaded guilty leading to his conviction and sentence. For the offence he would be languishing in the secure unit for the next three months with hard labour as a cardinal reminder to keep his lips tightened.

Circumstances are that on 6 May this year, Mathuthu who was hungry prepared food before bringing it in the dining room and placed the pots which were still hot on the glass coffee table. His actions courted the anger of his 74-year-old aunt Cecilia Ncube who reprimanded him. Mathuthu following the chastise went ballistic and started insulting his aunt saying, "You are now fat, go back to the rural areas and tender the fields".

It is reported that when the accused person's stepmother heard the confrontation, she inquired what had gone wrong. The accused person who was apparently angry turned on her and started insulting her too.

"I had sex with you three times at Mzilikazi and that's why I didn't attend your wedding. You are a dog and you will give birth to a coloured because the pregnancy is not from your husband."

Following the satirical attack, Sibanda who could not fathom the idea that she was bedded by her step son, went and reported the matter to the police leading to Mathuthu's arrest.
