BCC introduces electronic payment system for residents

Bulawayo City Council (BCC) has announced that it is introducing an electronic bill payment system for residents.
The municipality says it has partnered with MetBank and residents who use banks can take advantage of the Zimswitch cards.
"The Bulawayo City Council is proud to announce the introduction of an electronic bill payment system at the Revenue Hall," reads a notice.
The local authority said advantages to residents are that there would be no need to carry cash and balances inquires would be smoothly done.
However, the notice gave no time frame when the electronic bill system would kick off.
The MDC-T lead council is wallowing in more than $21 million debt.
Some residents are not paying up bills citing poor service delivery.
