A 34 year old Njube tenant tricked her landlord's 10-year-old daughter into fondling her private parts promising to give her popcorn.
The girl who is in grade five was asked what was inside her underwear.
The court heard that on Monday the man, whose name was not revealed in court to protect the minor was asked by her landlord to take care of the girl while she was away.
The girl then went to the man room with friends and watched television.
He was also inside the room.
He later asked the girl and her friends to leave but when his target was about to exit he called her back.
The tenant then asked the girl if she liked popcorn which she said she did. He then popped the corn and gave her.
It was at that point that he asked the girl what was inside her underwear at the same time fondling her tender private parts.
He instructed her not to tell anyone but she latter did leading to his arrest.
He is due in court on June 26.
