Powertel boosts internet presence in Bulawayo

INTERNET Service Provider PowerTel has increased its presence in Bulawayo, the second largest city after it commissioned three base stations in the city.
PowerTel announced that it has switched on three base stations in Cowdray Park, Pumula East and Lobengula West to boost the network and data penetration to the residents.
"The base stations have a coverage radius of 20km each.
"This means the wait for real broadband is finally over for customers in Cowdray Park, Luveve, Gwabalanda, Emakhandeni, Lobengula West, Magwegwe West and North, Pumula East and North and Norwood along Nyamandlovu Road.
"Coverage along Nyamandlovu Road goes up to Mbuyazwe Primary School," the company announced in a statement.
The company has been expanding in major cities in the country apart from Bulawayo and Harare it has spread to Norton, Kwekwe, Gweru, Kadoma, Ruwa, Chinhoyi, Rusape, Marondera and Mutare.
