POLICE in Bulawayo have launched a manhunt for Jivas Chizunza aged 42 in connection with a case of dealing in drugs in October 2009.

The police spokesperson for Bulawayo Province, Assistant Inspector Bekimpilo Ndlovu said the police are keen to interview Chizunza in connection with the case.

Asst Insp Ndlovu said his location might lead to the clearance of four cases of theft of motor vehicles.

"In the early morning of 31 October 2009, police officers from Mbembesi intercepted a vehicle, Toyota Liteace that was carrying 25 bags of loose dagga. The culprits before being arrested abandoned the vehicle carrying the dagga.

"Investigations indicate that the vehicle in question was fitted with number plates belonging to a vehicle that is registered in Chizunza's name but the Toyota was not registered. His location may lead to the clearance of four cases of theft of motor vehicles," said Asst Insp Ndlovu.

Chizunza is of medium built, short and dark in complexion.

His last known residential was Number 8137 Nkulumane 12.

Anyone with information that may lead to the location of Chizunza should contact the officer-in-charge CID Drugs, Bulawayo, Detective Inspector Innocentia Ncube on 09-61138, or Detective Sergeant Lovemore Ncube on 0777611935 or visit any nearest police station.
