Chikwekwe appointed provincial magistrate in charge of Matabeleland South

THE president of the Magistrates' Association of Zimbabwe, Mr Vakayi Douglas Chikwekwe, has been appointed provincial magistrate in charge of Matabeleland South.
Mr Chikwekwe fills the position that was left following the death of Douglas Zvenyika in a car accident last month. According to an appointment letter to Mr Chikwekwe dated 1 August 2012 signed by the chief magistrate, Mr Mishrod Guvamombe, the appointment is with effect from 6 August.
"Please be advised that you have been appointed as the provincial head Matabeleland South Province. This appointment is with effect from the 6th of August 2012. Kindly ensure that you assume your duty at Gwanda by that date."
Mr Chikwekwe has been working from his Gwanda office since Monday.
Prior to his appointment, Mr Chikwekwe was the second-in-charge magistrate in the Midlands province, a position he had held since 2004.He joined the magistrates' department in Gweru in 1997.
