BCC introduces mobile app to report faults

THE Bulawayo City Council (BCC) has come up with a mobile application to be used by residents in reporting faults in order to improve service delivery.
Deputy mayor Council Mlandu Ncube said the mobile application would improve communication between council and residents.
"All the notices of BCC will be posted on the mobile app," part of a notice by council read.
The mobile application will allow the residents to report faults. There is a bill payment section which allows residents to pay their bills online as well as track their accounts.
"The mobile application allows people to report, view bills and register," Ncube said.
"Both ways will be applied, the old way that is, physical attending of people at BCC and the new way of communication through the mobile application."
He, however, said since not everyone could afford to buy internet data bundles to access the mobile application because it is expensive and for those who could not afford, "they have to stick to the usual method of engaging council that they used before."
