A TOTAL of 113 uniformed forces on Friday graduated at the Zimbabwe School of Signals Headquarters Bulawayo District, Imbizo Barracks.

The graduates were drawn from the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF), Zimbabwe Prison Service (ZPS) and the Namibian
Defence Force (NDF).

The group graduated after completing a 33-month training course in signals troop commanders, operator radio and line class two, operator radio and line class three, telecommunication fitter technician group "T" class three and telecommunication radio technician group "T" class three.

A hundred and three of them were from ZDF, ZPS had two while NDF had eight graduates.

Only four graduates were women.

The training was meant to equip graduates with Information Communication Technology (ICT) security skills to guard against electronic and kiybar warfare.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Commander for One Infantry Brigade Brigadier General Thomas Moyo encouraged the graduates to be disciplined for the benefit of the country.

"The good discipline that you displayed during the courses is what you should carry throughout your career. Signals personnel are known everywhere to be reliable, trustworthy and efficient.

"To the members of the NDF, I urge you to display and use knowledge you gained here diligently to the benefit of your country. I want you to be ambassadors of this country and tell the true story about our situation here," said Moyo.
