Kombi crash, 21 injured

TWENTY one people were injured yesterday when the driver of a commuter omnibus they were travelling in lost control of the vehicle and it overturned at the intersection of the Bulawayo- Plumtree highway and Birkinhead Road in the city.
Police spokesperson Mandlenkonsi Moyo confirmed the accident which occurred at about 10am.
He said of the 21, three were treated and discharged, while the rest were admitted at United Bulawayo Hospitals.
Moyo said it was suspected the driver of the commuter omnibus was trying to turn to avoid a red-robot, but lost control of the vehicle, which then overturned and landed on its roof.
