Girl (9)'s organ damaged after being raped by cousin

IN a potentially groundbreaking case of child sexual abuse a nine-year-old Bulawayo girl is feared to have sustained a lasting dis-order of an enlarged organ, which is continuously dripping pus after her 20-year-old cousin allegedly raped her.
The man, whose name is being withheld to protect the minor, was staying together with the victim in Mpopoma suburb.
Circumstances to the seemingly larger than life case of child sexual abuse are mat on an unknown date but sometime early last year the girl came home from school and found her cousin-cum-sexual perpetrator alone at home.
It is reported that the alleged rapist called the suspicious girl into his bedroom and asked her to remove her clothes and undergarment and she complied.
After stripping naked the helpless minor who was reportedly threatened with an unspecified action was ordered to lie down facing upwards.
After taking the weird orders the man then allegedly raped her.
It is further reported that during the same year but sometime in September the man after he successfully managed to buy his cousins silence for sometime, he again called her into his bed-room and using the same modus operandi he allegedly raped her.
The matter came to light on 18 March this year when the girls mother saw her continuously scratching her itching organ.
The suspicious mother then called the girl and upon examining her she reportedly discovered that her organ was wide open with some sores and pus continuously dripping out
The girl was referred to hospital for further medical examination and the matter was later reported to the police leading to the arrest of the man.
For the offence he was brought before Bulawayo magistrate Mr Takunda Witness Mtetwa.
He is being charged with two counts of rape as defined in section 65 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 923.
He was not asked to plead and was remanded in custody.
