A 17-YE AR-OLD Nkulumane boy has been arrested for bedding and impregnating his underage girlfriend.
The boy and his lover (names withheld) reportedly started seeing each other in November last year.
It is said that in December of the same year, the two decided it was time to consummate the relationship.
Taking advantage of being home alone, the boy invited his lover and played the adult game twice.
Supposedly having found each others' company difficult to resist, the two had sex a number of times. As nature would have it, the girl fell pregnant.
Her relative is reported to have noticed that she was behaving strangely and questioned her.
The girl said she was being stressed by school.
Her relative then rested the case.
However, it all changed in March when she started showing visible signs of a pregnancy.
Asked on what was happening by her aunt, the girl said she did not know but after being threatened with a beating, she pointed the finger at her boyfriend.
Her aunt then told her parents and it was decided that the matter should betaken tip with the police.
The boy was arrested and hauled before the courts facing a charge of bedding a minor.
He appeared before Western Commonage magistrate, Mr Themba Chimiso, who remanded him in custody of a relative to 19 April.
