'Buy Only Bulawayo Made products' campaign launched

A GROUP of Bulawayo youths have embarked on a Buy Only Bulawayo Made products campaign to save the few remaining operating companies in the city.
The youths move around the central business district carrying banners urging residents to boycott products not made by Bulawayo companies.
Mthulisi Moyo, the leader of the group, said their campaign is necessary to encourage the few remaining companies not to relocate from the city.
Moyo said the reason why companies have been relocating is because residents were not buying their products.
A number of Bulawayo companies have either closed shop or relocated to other cities citing lack of business in the city.
According to the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions, close to 20 000 people have been left jobless as a result of the company closures and relocations.
