Mugabe arrives in Bulawayo for Nkomo's memorial service

President Robert Mugabe has arrived in Bulawayo ahead of the memorial service of the late Vice President Landa John Nkomo that will be held this Sunday at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) grounds.
Mugabe was met at the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport by the Governor and Resident Minister for Bulawayo, Cain Mathema, Zanu-PF Politburo member, Sikhanyiso Ndlovu, Zanu-PF Bulawayo provincial chairman, Calistus Ndlovu, Zanu-PF Matabeleland North provincial chairman, Richard Moyo, while the Nkomo family was represented by Mr Jabulani Nkomo, the son of the late Vice President.
People are expected to gather at the ZITF grounds, Hall Number four at 8.30 am to celebrate the life of a visionary nationalist who died in January this year and was buried at the National Heroes Acre in Harare.
Nkomo is being remembered for his immense contribution to the liberation of the country and his involvement in the development agenda of Zimbabwe in the country's post independence era.
