Ezra 'Tshisa' Sibanda wins MDC-T primaries for Vungu

Legendary ZBC radio 2 presenters Ezra 'Tshisa' Sibanda is well on his way to becoming the next MP for Vungu constituency after powering his way to a convincing win in MDC-T primary elections held on Wednesday.
Ezra got 752 votes out of the 1000 cast votes, Mark Moyo received 245 while Senzeni Mpofu only got a paltry 3.
Ezra joins his colleague and friend Eric Knight and James Maridadi who also prevailed in the MDC-T primaries.
Ezra was quick to thank his multitude of fans who voted him, he wrote, "A million thanks to the MDC-T people of Vungu constituency for all the love, trust and support in voting me to be their parliamentary candidate in the forth coming elections. Vungu constituency MDC-T primaries 29 May, 2013 results Mark Moyo-245, Senzeni Mpofu-3 & yours truly Ezra Tshisa 752. Congratulations to all of them for a tough contest and proving MDC-T is indeed a Democratic Party, we are a family and its time to get together, fight and defeat the common enemy. Destination House of Assembly for Hurricane Tshisa, it's time to tackle the bull by its horns, yes it can be done and a new Zimbabwe will be born. When God says YES, no one can say NO!"
The MDC-T conducted its primary and confirmation exercise in Midlands South Province.
The elections saw Amos Chibaya, the MP for Mkoba getting confirmed while journalist Ezra "Tshisa" Sibanda won the primary election in Vungu constituency.
However, Gweru Urban MP, Rodrick Rutsvara failed to get the two thirds required for confirmation and will stand in the primary elections.
Candidates who were elected to represent the party in the forthcoming elections are;
Davis Shoko - Mberengwa South
Tavafira Zhou - Mberengwa North
Cumming Hove - Mberengwa East
Onismo Manungo - Shurungwi North
Munyaradzi Mutandavari – Shurugwi South
Francisco Masendeke - Chirumanzu
Clever Bhoko - Zvishavane Runde
Ishmael Jeko – Chirumanzu Zibagwe
Ezra Sibanda – Vungu
Hon. Amos Chibaya – Mkoba
Primary elections in Chiwundura,and Zvishavane Ngezi were postponed.
The exercise continues in Midlands North and will move to the 3 Mashonaland provinces before going to Manicaland and Masvingo.
