Scores of shoppers temporarily abandoned their chores to interact with Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai who was touring a flea market in central Bulawayo, Friday.
The Premier is in Bulawayo to engage various stakeholders on issues affecting the region.
Business came to a halt when the Prime Minister visited market stalls, interacted with vendors while encouraging them to register as voters in order to control their destiny in the coming elections.
Earlier today the PM via Facebook said:
I am still in Bulawayo, where I am having a breakfast meeting with industrialists. This used to be the hub of Zimbabwe's industry but decades of neglect and poor economic policies have left the city on its knees.
A NEW direction is urgently needed and that can only happen in a NEW Zimbabwe. From here, I am off for a walkabout along Lobengula Street, then to Entumbane Bus Terminus. I will also take time to meet with and listen to farmers, church leaders and students today. Together we can make this city GREAT again.
