IN a feat of jealous, a 22-year-old Bulawayo woman who could not stomach seeing her ex-husband sharing quality time with another woman, went berserk and allegedly attacked the man with stones and bit him before tearing his shirt.
Teresa Tembo of House Number 89 Moffat Drive, Hillside in Bulawayo appeared in court on Monday for contravening a section of the Domestic Violence Act (physical abuse).
She pleaded not guilty to the charges and was remanded to 2 July by Bulawayo magistrate, Mrs Gladmore Mushove.
The prosecutor, Mr Shepherd Nhamburo, said on 18 June at about 3pm, Tembo went to her ex-husband, Mr Kenneth Ndlovu's house in Manningdale and found him with his newly found love.
The court was told that Tembo got angry at the sight of her former husband enjoying the company of another woman. She started provoking Mr Ndlovu who, however, maintained his cool, the court was told.
Tembo picked a brick and stones and allegedly attacked Ndlovu before biting him in the chest.
Ndlovu sustained head, neck and chest injuries and was taken to hospital. A report was made to the police leading to Tembo's arrest.
