ALL roads lead to Somhlolo Stadium in Lupane today where President Mugabe will address his first star rally in Matabeleland ahead of the forthcoming 31 July watershed elections.

Mugabe is expected to address thousands of people from the seven districts in the province.

Zanu-PF National Chairman Simon Khaya Moyo yesterday said President Mugabe would be visiting Matabeleland provinces to consolidate support for Zanu-PF to ensure that the party registers a resounding victory in the forthcoming polls.

"Presidential star rallies are continuing across the country and they are attracting huge crowds. Tomorrow His Excellency, President Mugabe will be in Lupane, Matabeleland North. On Saturday he will be in Matabeleland South, the province for heroes such as the late Vice President Joshua Nkomo, Jason Ziyaphapha Moyo, George Silundika, Sikhwili Moyo and many others who pioneered the liberation struggle," said Khaya Moyo.

Tomorrow Mugabe will hold another star rally at Pelandaba Stadium in Gwanda Town.

"All roads lead to Matabeleland South on Saturday and as a province we are happy to meet the people," said Andrew Langa, the provincial chairman for Matabeleland South and National Assembly candidate for Insiza North.

Mugabe has been addressing star rallies since last week with tens and thousands of people attending, an indication that the revolutionary party is poised for victory come 31 July.
