A maid from Nkulumane 12 disappeared with her employer's one-year-old baby.
The maid reportedly disappeared last week Thursday.
The mother of the child, Ntombizodwa Khumalo said she left her son, Wayne Dube in the custody of their maid, Miss Sikhululekile Ndlovu (25).
"On Thursday I left for work and left my baby under the care of Sikhululekile who was working as my maid. When I returned from work, Sikhululekile and my baby were not at home and my other children said she left with the baby at around 9am," said Khumalo.
The baby's mother said Sikhululekile had been working for her for a month and received her first salary on Wednesday, a night before she disappeared.
"She started working for me on 5 July and on 7 August she got her salary for the month. I was hoping that I would go see where she lives but she surprised me when she disappeared on Thursday."
The family has reported the matter to Nkulumane Police Station.
Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Mandlenkosi Moyo confirmed the incident.
He said investigations were underway. "We are appealing to the members of the public who might have information on the where-about of Sikhulekile and the child to come forward," said Insp Moyo.
