A warrant of arrest has been issued to a Bulawayo safari operator, Leon Edward Andrew who is facing charges of fraud after he allegedly generated fake High Court orders.

His trial was supposed to open at the Harare Magistrate Court this Monday but the accused failed to show up at the court resulting in a warrant of arrest being issued.

Allegations against Andrew arose in 2012 after he allegedly generated a fake High Court order.

It is understood that Andrew entered into an agreement with Tsholotsho Rural District Council in 1992 in which the accused was given hunting concessions.

The state further alleges that the rural district council terminated the contract in 2012 and entered into another agreement with another hunting safari operator.

The development is believed to have irked the accused who then approached the court challenging the decision.

However, Andrew is alleged to have generated a fake High Court order in which he claimed that the Supreme Court had ruled in his favour.
