Onslaught on ZAPU officials ill-fated
06 Jun 2011 at 05:02hrs | Views
ZAPU would like to put on record that some individuals purporting to speak on behalf of the party in the South Africa Province are not doing so with the authority of or on behalf of the party.
These are disgruntled and desperate people who have been suspended from the party for various misdemeanours which ZAPU, according to its policies is not at liberty to elaborate on since their disciplinary hearing is still pending. For the same reason, ZAPU cannot publish their names because they are technically still members of the party until the outcome of their disciplinary hearing is released. ZAPU forbids discussing other party members in the media or any public forums. Only when a member cannot be rehabilitated and the party has no option but to expel such a member "with dishonour" can ZAPU publish the expulsion.
The disgruntled individuals have embarked on an ill-fated onslaught on party officials including the party president, labelling them as ZANU-PF agents. If these people were genuine ZAPU cadres they would be using their real names and the official party publicity channels. Instead they use pseudonyms such as "Ntombizodwa Luphahla", "Ziphoko Dube", etc of which ZAPU has no record of such members in our database. Furthermore, they target online news papers with inferior story quality screening procedures so that their fabricated lies can slip through unnoticed. They troll Facebook cutting and pasting people's pictures to try and authenticate creations or their imagination.
ZAPU is proud of the ZAPU South Africa Council of Elders, Cde. Dingilizwe Mpondo, Cde. Pretty Ncube, Cde. Mike Moyo and others, who have been targets of these desperados, for the tireless and self-less work they have done for the party. The plunderers cannot ignore their good work.
ZAPU wishes to make it known that its trained cadrership in the South Africa Province will not be deterred or distracted by the spoilers and their handlers. The detractors will go the same way other members of their network went prior to the ZAPU 9th congress - to silent oblivion as if they never existed.
