THERE was drama on Tuesday morning at a house in Nkulumane suburb when a 22-year old woman ran berserk allegedly threatening to kill her "elderly mother" by stabbing her with a kitchen knife and pieces of a broken beer bottle.

Before she attempted to stab her she had punched her with a flurry of punches in the face allegedly "fracturing" her nose and leaving her with a black eye. As if that was not enough she went on to destroy some household property comprising a room divider, water glasses and dinner plates.

The irate woman Patience Ndoro (nee Siwela) was accusing her mother's elder sister only identified as Gogo MaSiwela of being a B-Metro "mole" who had leaked the story of her foiled suicide attempt to the paper.

Patience who is reportedly going through a nasty divorce wrangle with her husband Wellington Ndoro, a police officer reportedly attempted to take her life recently by allegedly drinking poison claiming her husband had dumped her for another woman only identified as Dorothy who is also a police officer.

In an affidavit in possession of this publication Wellington claimed that he was restive of living with Patience since they were fighting every day subsequently exposing their five year-old son to violent behaviour.

"I have been living with Patience as my legal wife and from the day we got married we have been fighting and quarrelling week in week out and our son who is turning five years and has been witnessing these events as they were unfolding. I do not wish to raise him in such a situation as this might affect his upbringing. I wish to get a divorce as this will be in the interest of us", reads part of Wellingtons affidavit.

Their marital problems reached their ugly head when Patience stumbled upon Wellingtons picture in which he was looking lovey dovey with Dorothy.

Trouble which saw B-Metro crew and neighbours scampering for cover when Patience ran amok wielding a kitchen knife threatening to stab her mother started when Gogo MaSiwela revealed details of the foiled suicide attempt to these reporters.

As she was narrating, Patience bolted out of her spare bedroom and started verbally assaulting her accusing her of being a B-Metro mole.

"Wena gogo ungumthakathi uyaloya, uzenza umkristu wamanga, lamuhla ngizakulungisa ngifuna ukukutshaya. Ngizakubulala ngengqamu, kawungazi mina lonke leB-Metro yakho kalingazi," literally meaning you old woman you are a witch, you are not a real Christian. Today I will fix you, I want to assault you and kill you with a knife together with your B-Metro guys).

Living true to her threats she started brutally assaulting her elderly "mother" with fists on the face before she took a kitchen knife and threatened to stab her. Fearing for her life Gogo MaSiwela locked herself in her bedroom.

Normalcy only returned after the arrival of police officers who had been phoned by neighbours who feared that the domestic dispute would turn fatal.

The visibly shocked Gogo MaSiwela after the narrow escape said her daughter's marauding behaviour had left her tongue-tied as she was hoping that by bringing the story of Patience's alleged abuse at the hands of her husband to B-Metro for public consumption was for her own good.
