Sunday News reporter, Vusumusi Dube wrote on his facebook page “quote of the day...."I will die (kill) you all, u are very stupid"- 'jesus' invades Chronicle offices and threatens to kill all journos in the building".
Lesley Zibonele Moyo, a reporter with Radio Dialogue said "LOOOOL This man was spotted Egodini 2 weeks back and he was claiming to be the Biblical Moses.
"Jesus" was irked by today's front page story which the paper said he fed for his life on Sunday evening at Nkulumane's Sekusile Shopping Centre when a mob tied to attack him.
That was after he claimed to have power to perform miracles.
On January 7, ZimbabweFocus wrote that “Jesus" caused a stir at Basch Street Terminus popularly known as Egodini after he was caught carrying a live snake and claiming to be the Biblical Moses.
Business came to a standstill at the busy commuter omnibus terminus when one of the vendors noticed the head of a snake protruding from a satchel saddled at the back of the elderly man.
After killing the snake some of the vendors are said to have taunted the man to resurrect the snake since he was claiming to be the "Biblical Moses". In Exodus 4 verse 3 Moses under the instruction of God turned his staff into a snake. He repeated the same miracle in front of Pharaoh.
He was clad in clothing mostly associated with people of Arab origin, is said to have fallen into a trance soon after and broke into song and dance.
