Kombi driver breaks leg in Plumtree Road accident

BULAWAYO - There are unconfirmed reports that a kombi driver broke a leg when the commuter omnibus he was driving collided with a Lobels truck along Plumtree Road, near Dunlop on Monday evening around 22:00hrs.

The accident reportedly occurred at the Hopton, Plumtree Road junction. The junction is widely considered to be a blind spot.

According to eyewitnesses, the truck driver failed to give way because tall grass blocked his view.

A Bulawayo24 News source said Famona fire brigade responded swiftly to the accident.
