"I strongly sense in the spirit that the Warriors of Zimbabwe will beat Libya with three goals. I also see that Libya might not score any goals. I see Zimbabwe proceed to the Chan final. If the Warriors believe, all things are possible," says Prophet Blessing Chiza, leader of the Bulawayo-headquartered Faith in God (FIG) Eagle Life Assembly who correctly predicted their match result against Mali in the quarter-finals.
"It's God's will for Zimbabwe to win this tournament and bring the trophy home. If the Warriors don't believe that God wants them to bring the trophy home, they will blow away their golden God-given chance because of doubt."
According to the Chronicle, Prophet Chiza, citing 2 Chronicles 20:20 in the Bible, said "the wise listen and have faith when the prophets speak and they believe."
"I see great displays of skills from Milton [Ncube], Rio [Moyo], Kuda [Mahachi], [Masimba] Mambare, Simba [Sithole] and Hardlife [Zvirekwi]. [George] Chigova will save goals like nobody's business from now on," Chiza went on.
"I see Rio and two others scoring spectacular goals, propelling Zimbabwe to the finals."
The man of God, who last year accurately predicted that Highlanders would beat How Mine 3-0 to lift the Mbada Diamonds Cup, said he could "hear the sound of celebrations in Zimbabwe" whenever he sleeps.
"Cars hooting and people shouting, 'Warriors! Zimbabwe! Winners! African Champions!' All we need to do is to believe and stop using juju."
"Why is God interested in football? I think I now have the answer because the devil is involved too much. He [the devil] has often visited me in my sleep to say, 'Chiza leave football alone, don't interfere. Why are you praying for the Warriors?' My question now is, why is the devil worried and not happy with my soccer predictions and prophesies if they mean nothing?"
Prophet Chiza was quick to mention that it was important for the players to have faith in prophecy for the dream to come true. He has been speaking to at least six players in the Warriors camp.
