"Noah's floods" have continued wreaking havoc in Bulawayo damaging more property valued tens of thousands of dollars.
Residents spent another sleepless as unprecedented heavy rains continued to relentlessly pound the city.
On Friday, the floods, that a resident likened to those of the times of the biblical Noah because water levels kept rising in flooded houses, destroyed property worth thousands in the western suburbs.
Last night they seemed to as concentrate their fury on the affluent eastern areas.
Umguza River was in flood and destroyed a brick wall surrounding Eastview High School in Mahatshula North.
Residents who live around the area said the wall came down with a loud explosion in the morning, after water from the river filled up inside it.
"The water came gushing out and flooded nearby houses. Vehicles that were parked outside the homes were filled with water that destroyed property in the homes," said Tshili Moyo.
The trail of destruction continued to Selborne Park where scores of houses had walls destroyed.
Residents accused the Bulawayo City Council of failing to fix the drainage system in the city, causing the flooding in their homes.
All through the day, residents were busy scooping water out of their houses using buckets.
The rains that fell for most of the night also left widespread destruction in the western suburbs.
Residents in sections of Cowdray Park, Pumula and Gwabalanda had put furniture outside in the sun, hoping to dry it after it was drenched by the floods.
