Zim School of Mines posts photo of dead body on Facebook

A Facebook page believed to be the official "Zimbabwe School of Mines" page on December 4th last year posted a photograph of a dead body.

This came to Bulawayo24 News' attention on the 7th of January 2014 and the photograph was still there with the caption "rip ma guy ul lweiz be remembered....."

Only one user commented on the photo asking: "What are the requirements for someone to qualify being a student for mining engineering."

A concerned Facebook user contacted Bulawayo24 News about the post saying: "what's with people posting dead people on Facebook? Jus bumped on Zimbabwe School of Mines page where one d***head posted a picture of a dead friend. It's disgusting I even wonder if relatives of the deceased know about it..."

Another user said they contacted the persons responsible asking if that page was an official ZSM Facebook Page: "the photo of your dead friend in a coffin is certainly in bad taste. Is this not meant to be an official ZSM page? If not change the name."
