GUTA Ramwari plans to build a secondary school in Tshabalala as one of its future projects in Bulawayo.
The institution has already acquired land from the Bulawayo City Council for the project. Guta Ramwari's secretary-general Moses Manzini made the revelation at their 53rd anniversary celebrations underway in the city.
"We have acquired this stand because we have been renting space from the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair to conduct our annual anniversary, but now this will cut costs for us," he said.
"We are also planning to build a secondary school on this stand as well as a conference hall for the religion."
The celebrations that started on Friday and end today are being attended by 3 000 people from Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Botswana and South Africa.
"We are doing the anniversary in this stand for the first time to recognise the starting of the Guta Ra Mwari, religion in 1961 and to revive our ways of worship," Manzini said.
"It is a way of reunion as there are people from different countries who came to worship with us."
