Zenzele Ndebele, the production manager of Radio Dialogue, a community radio station based in Bulawayo, has been served with summons to appear before the Court of the Magistrate at Tredgold Magistrate Court in Bulawayo for contravening the Broadcasting Act. It is not yet clear which Section of the Broadcasting Act the police are citing.

Ndebele (@zenzele) just tweeted that he is not sure of why he was sent the summons that are just written "contravening sections of the broadcasting services act."

Ndebele suspects that the summons relate to a ZBC licence because he didn't have a ZBC licence.

Ndebele is expected to appear in Court 01 on 6 March 2014 at 8AM.

A year ago, Ndebele appeared in court on charges of possessing smuggled radios in contravention of Section 182 of the Customs and Excise Act.

According to its website, Radio Dialogue is a non-profit making community radio station aspiring to broadcast to the community of Bulawayo and its surrounding areas.

State security forces under the crooked stewardship of the Zimbabwe Republic Police's (ZRP) Central Investigations Department and in cahoots with the dreaded Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) are continuing their intimidation on Radio Dialogue.
