Chronicle reporters cheat death

THREE senior journalists from Chronicle and Umthunywa correspondent are lucky to be alive after a vehicle they were traveling in veered off the road and rammed into a stationary haulage truck on Thursday.
Entertainment editor Daisy Jeremani, senior reporter Mashudu Netsianda, chief photographer Eliah Saushoma and Umthunywa's Emmanuel Ndlovu were hospitalised after the crash that left their vehicle a complete wreck.
Jeremani has been fitted with a neck brace and Netsianda with a plaster of paris after fracturing an arm.
Saushoma suffered some back injuries while Ndlovu has been left with some loose teeth.
The reporters were rushed to Mater-Dei Hospital where they were treated and referred to specialist doctors for further medical attention.
Saushoma, who was driving told colleagues that the Madza 6 vehicle collided with a stationary haulage truck as he tried to negotiate his way in a partly closed road.
Ndlovu said he did not know what happened prior to the accident but saw himself bleeding through the mouth.
