MDC-T offices along 2nd Ave were last night (Thursday 13 March 2014) sprayed with graffiti messages calling for party leader Morgan Tsvangirai to step down

MDC-T has been thrown into further turmoil after its Bulawayo stronghold offices along 2nd Ave were last night sprayed with graffiti messages calling for party leader Morgan Tsvangirai to step down, ahead of his visit to the city today.

The perimeter walls was splashed with red paint, the party's main colour, with messages urging others to join the leadership renewal movement.

Inside, the offices and vehicles were also sprayed with similar messages.

The party has been experiencing upheaval since deputy treasurer general Elton Mangoma called on Tsvangirai to step down so as to facilitate a leadership renewal in the party.

Mangoma and Secretary General Tendai Biti were set upon by party youths at Harvest House for allegedly strengthening the leadership renewal calls.
